Changes After Its Construction:
  • The minbar of the mosque was added by Darüssaade (The Door of Felicity) Agha Maktul
    Beşir Agha.
  • It was repaired in 1747 and 1860.
  • It was repaired by the public under the leadership of Abdurrahman Yankı in 1962.
  • In 1982 the interior was painted with oil paint.
Prominent Features:
  • The interior area of this mosque, located at the corner, is 73 m².
  • The walls are made of masonry, the roof is wooden, and the wall thickness is 80 cm.
  • Its mihrab is made of marble, and its minbar and pulpit are made of wood.
  • The narthex is small, and the masjid receives light from eleven windows.
  • There is no trace left of its old structure inside.
  • The verses “You (Satan) will truly have no authority over My faithful servants” (Surah al-
    Isra, 65) and “The Day when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit” (Surah al-
    Shuarah, 88) are written in three lines on both sides of the mihrab.
  • Its exterior and minaret have preserved their original structure.
  • It has a single-balcony minaret made of brick but is not very convenient to use.
  • The ceiling is made of wood, and the window fronts are furnished with marble up to 1.5
    meters.
  • The grave of its founder, Sarı Beyazıt, is in the garden of the mosque.
