In the year it was built, a foundation for the mosque was established by a lady named Nevruz.
The mosque, which was renovated by Üskübi Hacı İbrahim Agha in 1491, was renewed by Şekercizade Mehmed Bey in 1735.
The mosque underwent major repairs in 1953 and minor repairs in the following years.

Its walls are made of stone and its roof is made of wood. It has a thick-bodied, single-balcony minaret.
Next to the mosque, there is a fountain built by Dilsiz Tavşan Agha.
Mehmed Agha, the founder of the mosque, is buried next to the mosque.
