It was restored in 1835 during the reign of Mahmud II.
It was repaired again in 1858, during the reign of Sultan Abdulmejid.
Its last comprehensive restoration was completed in 2019.
Prominent Features:
It has a single minaret and a single balcony, and a tiled roof.
The mosque is a small brick building with a rectangular plan and a pleasant minaret.
The mosque is reached by a 13-step staircase, and the arches on the windows are striking.
The tomb of Ka’ab, one of the companions of the Prophet, is located here; “Hazrat Ka’ab from the Companions” is written on his grave.
Soup and hot meals are served to visitors in the hut in the garden of the mosque throughout the year.
Appointed in 2006, Emin Kır Hodja took an active role in the fight against drug addiction in the mosque area, provided shelter and food to the homeless, and provided clothing and goods to those in need.
