  • The mosque was restored in 2014 and reopened for worship in 2018.
- Prominent features of the mosque
  • The mosque and its annexes are made of wood, and its minaret is made of cut stone. There are courtyard doors opening onto both roads. Next to the mosque is a marble well with a winding wheel and no inscription.
  • The founder of the mosque, Yekçeşm Ahmed Murtaza Efendi, died in 1747 and his grave is located in the cemetery in front of the mosque together with his wife.
  • The first sheikh of the lodge used as a part of the mosque was Abdullah Nidayi Efendi from Turkestan. Nidayi Efendi wrote a work called “Risale-i Hakkiyye” and he and his son Ubeydullah are buried in the mosque graveyard.
  • Abdülhakîm Arvâsî, who was the spiritual father of the famous Turkish writer Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, is the last sheikh of this lodge.
