- Prominent Features
The building, also known as the Kulebahçe Mosque, Kuleli Ocağı Mosque and Kuleli Mosque, is a well-constructed masonry structure with a rectangular plan close to a square; it is covered with a central dome and four smaller domes.
It has a single minaret and a single balcony and is one of the elegant waterside mosques on the Bosphorus.
The mihrab is a fine example of the Tanzimat Period mihrabs; it attracts attention with its three-dimensional depiction of an oil lamp.
The Harim of the mosque is illuminated by the round arched windows on the mihrab facade and side facades.
In front of the mosque there is a fountain built in classical Ottoman style.
