Changes After Its Construction:
It was first built as a dervish lodge/tekke.
It was changed into a mosque in the 19th century, and the women’s gallery, narthex and minaret were later added.
It was restored in the 1980s and then repaired again in 1993.
It underwent extensive restoration between 2015 and 2018. During this process, the building was strengthened, its courtyard was expanded, and its minaret and interior spaces were renewed.
Prominent Features:
It has a rectangular plan and has a meşruta (Imam’s lodging).
The masonry walls are reinforced with stainless steel plates.
The narthex, Harim and mihrab sections have been renovated through restoration.
The minaret has a single balcony and is made of brick and cut stone.
There is a cemetery in the courtyard with tombstones from the 18th and 19th centuries.
The fountain and retaining wall in the mosque courtyard were restored and their original details were preserved.
