- Changes after its construction:
  • The mosque was repaired in 1896.
  • The mosque was plastered in 1983, and some changes have occurred in its original structure.
  • Since it was built in a narrow area, it was built following the shape of the road. Its minaret, which did not fit on the right side, was built in the direction of the mihrab and separate from the mosque. This is not the case in any other mosque in Istanbul.
  • The minbar was placed by Sheikh Abdullah Efendi, the imam of the Arpacı Mosque in Eyüpsultan. Its mihrab protrudes outwards. The graveyard in the front section has been destroyed over time.
  • A flowered sarcophagus lid is used as a staircase today. There is a repair inscription in the narthex.
- Prominent Features:
  • Also known as Kerimağa Mosque
  • The mosque is built of cut stone and has a wooden roof.
  • It is noteworthy that it was built in a narrow area. In addition, Zeynep Hatun’s grave was located on the left side of Türbe Street, on the embankment, but it does not exist today.
  • It is surrounded by iron bars; its sarcophagus was built later and there are no inscriptions or gravestones on it.
  • According to the residents of the district, Zeynep Hatun’s grave was located in front of the mosque gate, but it does not exist today.
  • Zeynep Hatun Mosque is important because it is one of the rare works built by female patrons during the Ottoman period.
