Changes After Construction:
It underwent a major repair in 1968; some additions were made during this repair.
It was repaired again in 1994.
Prominent Features:
The walls of the mosque are made of cut stone; the roof, ceiling and minbar are wooden, and the mihrab is made of plaster.
The additional section is entered from the narthex.
The lower windows are rectangular and have marble arches around them.
The upper windows have honeycombs and are oval-shaped.
The upper gallery is accessed by a wooden staircase.
There is a place with two arches in the lower section.
The mosque is divided into two sections by a wall, has two mihrabs and is entered from two separate doors.
There is a brick minaret with an embossed balcony on the front right side.
The mosque remains in a pit today due to the road being raised.
Its benefactor, Kepenekçi Hoca Sinan Efendi, died in 1562 and was buried outside Edirnekapı, opposite the Emir Buhari Mosque.
