Sitti Hatun Mosque
Changes After Its Construction:
- The minbar was added by the scholar Ağazade Mehmet Efendi.
- The mosque, which fell into disrepair over time, was rebuilt by the public in 1952, preserving its original walls and with a wooden and tiled roof.
Prominent Features:
- It has a large garden.
- The minbar, the muezzin’s gallery and the women’s gallery are made of reinforced concrete.
- Its stone mihrab is embedded in the wall and its niche is designed as five-sided on the inside.
- The pulpit of its short minaret is made of stone, the body is made of brick, and it has a single balcony.
- Near the mosque is the grave of Seyyid Seyfullah, the son of Seyyid Nizam, a descendant of Husayn ibn Ali.
