- Changes after its construction
  • The mosque, which had been neglected for many years, underwent extensive restoration in 1953.
  • The building, which was originally domed, was converted into a flat ceiling and roof during this restoration.
  • When the borders of Cerrahpaşa Hospital were expanded in 1981, the mosque remained within the hospital garden.
  • It was restored in 1981-82, remaining true to the restoration carried out in 1953, and its concrete walls were preserved.
  • The narthex, whose foundation remains are still present, has been revived.
  • In 1983, a marble fountain with eight taps, eight columns and a cone-shaped roof was built.

  • It is one of the four mosques located in the garden of Cerrahpaşa Hospital.
  • During the restorations it underwent, its domed structure was changed, and it was converted into a flat ceiling and roof.
  • Its mihrab is made of plaster, and its minbar and preacher’s pulpit are wooden.
  • The single-balcony minaret is located on the right side of the mosque.
  • There is a burial ground on the east side, where the grave of Hüseyin Lâ-Mekanî, one of the sheikhs of Melami Sufi order, is located.
