Topal Ayşe Hatun had the minbar installed and converted the small masjid into a mosque.
The mosque, which had fallen into disrepair over time, was repaired by Sadık Efendi.
It was rebuilt and expanded with a wooden roof in accordance with the original in 1903 by Sultan Abdulhamid II.

It is also known as the “Karabaş Mosque”.
It has a rectangular plan, a wooden roof and is made of masonry.
The walls are built of brick and rubble stone.
The narthex is under the same roof as the main structure of the mosque and the roof is covered with tiles.
The women’s gallery, ceiling, preacher’s pulpit and minbar are made of wood.
Its mihrab is plain and made of plaster.
All the walls are covered with paneling up to the bottom of the windows.
The minaret, located near the middle and on the right of the mosque, is stubby and plastered, and its cone is covered with lead.
