Changes after its construction
The mosque inscriptions were written by calligrapher Hamid Aytaç in 1982.
The building has undergone various restorations over the years and its interiordecorations have been preserved and updated.
Prominent features
The mosque is also known as the "Gülbahçesi (Rosarium) Mosque" because it was builton rose gardens.
Its walls and dome are reinforced concrete.
The mihrab is covered with tiles, the minbar and the preacher’s pulpit are made ofmarble.
