The original 16th-century mosque was completely destroyed in a major fire, and the site remained vacant for a long time.
In 1998, it was rebuilt as a modern mosque with a single dome and square plan using a reinforced concrete structural system.
The small burial enclosure was restored, and the tomb of its patron, Kasım Ağa, was preserved under protection.
Prominent Features:
The small burial ground housing the grave of its founder is the only surviving physical element reflecting its 16th-century origin.
It features a single minaret and single dome, reflecting the form of a medium-sized classical Ottoman mosque.
Though the exterior resembles a plain apartment-like façade today (with concrete and plastered surfaces), the interior is designed as a simple and spacious single-volume prayer space.
