  • After its construction, the structure was used as a residence for stewards and coachmen for a period.
  • It was opened for education in 1927 under the name “Cevri Kalfa School”; in the following years, it continued its educational function under different institutional names.
  • The number of classrooms was increased to 7 through renovations in the wooden structure; in 1960, the number of classrooms was raised to 10 with an additional building.
  • A heating system was installed in 1968; two dining halls, a cinema, and a meeting hall were added in 1970.
  • Before the last restoration, the campus consisted of a two-story historical wooden building and a three-story reinforced concrete building; during the restoration of the historical building and the demolition and reconstruction of the other building, the institution provided education in another building temporarily and then returned to its renovated building.
  • In 2012–2013, the name of the institution became “Maçka Pakmaya Hüsamettin Ziler Middle School.”
Prominent Features:
  • The structure has also been used under the names “Cevri Kalfa School,” “Beyoğlu 22nd School,” “Beşiktaş 22nd Middle School,” “Maçka Middle School,” and “Maçka Primary Education School.”
  • It was constructed as a wooden structure dated 1870; prior to the last restoration, the historical wooden building and the reinforced concrete building were located together.
  • The fact that the structure has a founder associated with the 19th-century palace circles is the fundamental element that highlights the historical identity of the campus.
