In 1932, the building was constructed by the Ministry of Education under the name Beyoğlu 11th Primary School.
The historic structure, later also known as Evliya Çelebi Primary School, was purchased from the Special Provincial Administration in 1972 and transferred to the Treasury.
In 1975, the campus was expanded with the construction of additional buildings.
Prominent Features:
The educational roots of the institution trace back to Istanbul Second Commercial High School, which began education in 1945 in the building of today’s St. Georg Austrian Commercial High School.
The school moved to its current building in 1946 and has an institutional history also known by the names Beyoğlu Commercial High School and Beyoğlu Commercial Vocational High School.
It is located in an area defined as above the Golden Horn Shipyard.
