Changes After Construction:
  • In 1932, the building was constructed by the Ministry of Education under the name Beyoğlu 11th Primary School.
  • The historic structure, later also known as Evliya Çelebi Primary School, was purchased from the Special Provincial Administration in 1972 and transferred to the Treasury.
  • In 1975, the campus was expanded with the construction of additional buildings.
Prominent Features:
  • The educational roots of the institution trace back to Istanbul Second Commercial High School, which began education in 1945 in the building of today’s St. Georg Austrian Commercial High School.
  • The school moved to its current building in 1946 and has an institutional history also known by the names Beyoğlu Commercial High School and Beyoğlu Commercial Vocational High School.
  • It is located in an area defined as above the Golden Horn Shipyard.
