Changes After Construction:
  • The Sufi Lodge was founded as the âsitâne of the Cihangiriyya branch of the Khalwatiyya.
  • The fact that the date when Sheikh Hasan Burhâneddin Efendi assumed the post is given as 1611 (Hijri 1020) in the line of sheikhs indicates that the construction of the Sufi Lodge must have been completed by that date.
  • It is stated that the zawiya burned in 1864-1865.
  • It is recorded that in the final period the sheikhdom passed to the Sunbuliyya branch of the Khalwatiyya, and that the last sheikh in 1925, the year when the Sufi lodges were closed, was Hafidh İhsan Efendi.
