The chapel was restored in 1960 and on 13 January 1990.
With the lease agreement made in April 2017, the building was given for use by a different Christian community until 2023.
The building was restored in 2023; it was consecrated and opened for worship on 7 December 2023.

The chapel is in the Baroque style; it was built with approximate dimensions of 6 meters in width and 12 meters in length.
At the time of its foundation, the chapel was dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary; after the 2023 restoration, it was dedicated to Santa Maria in Calcedonia.
In his will dated 30 December 1886, Hyacinthe Tubini requested that the chapel be reserved for family use; at the same time, he stipulated that it should also remain open to other believers.
