Changes After Construction:
The excavation works revealed the historical remains of the structure.
Survey, restitution, and reconstruction projects were prepared; the Conservation Board approved these projects.
Fatih Municipality started the restoration works in 2023 and completed them in 2024; the mosque is open for worship after the restoration.
Prominent Features:
The structure is also known as “Simkeş Mosque,” “Uzun Yusuf Masjid,” and “Sırmakeş Mosque.”
The wall masonry is in a double-course brick-and-stone arrangement.
The son cemaat place is covered above; the sides are open.
The interior ceiling has a diamond-patterned wooden arrangement; the interior has a plain composition.
The mosque is square-planned and has a mezzanine floor; it contains a son cemaat area.
The minaret is on the right side façade; wet areas have been arranged in the garden.
After the restoration, the mosque consists of an entrance and a mezzanine floor; the total usage area is 109 m².
