  • Over time, it was damaged by natural conditions and underwent repair work.
- Prominent Features
  • It is also known as the Hamid-i Evvel (“Hamid the First”) Mosque because of its benefactor. It is the last mosque on the Bosphorus.
  • It is located right next to the Anadolu Feneri (“Anatolian Lighthouse”), at an altitude of 75 meters above sea level.
  • The mosque has a magnificent sea view and the observation area is quite impressive.
  • The Anadolu Feneri next to it was built by the French in 1856 to guide ships during the Crimean War.
  • On the left side of the mosque is a peaceful bay with small fishing boats, while on the right side is a view of the new bridge.
  • Nearby is Poyrazköy, one of the beautiful villages of the Bosphorus, which juts out into the Black Sea.
