Changes After Its Construction:
  • It is known that there used to be a lodge and a masjid on the site of the mosque.
  • It was repaired in 1952.
  • The minaret was added after the restoration in 1983.
Prominent Features:
  • It is known as the oldest mosque in Kadıköy.
  • The mosque does not have a narthex.
  • Its mihrab is covered with tiles, the minbar and the preacher’s pulpit are made of wood.
  • The muezzin’s gallery is on the upper floor.
  • The minaret is entered from the inside.
  • The definition of "Tekke Masjid" is used for the building. It is thought that Mustafa Aghamay have had this masjid built for the Sufi order he belonged to.
