Changes after its construction
  • The mosque was built on lands previously donated by Kuloğlu Mustafa Bey.
  • At the beginning of the 20th century, the old mosque was demolished by the Ministry of Foundations due to its dilapidation and the Third Foundation Inn was built in its place.
  • It was built and opened in 1913 together with the “İbrahim Paşa Primary School” next tothe mosque.
  • The mosque was expanded over time due to population growth, but the additionsdamaged the mosque’s original architectural aesthetics.
  • It underwent restoration in 1983, and a minaret was added to the mosque during thisperiod.
Prominent features
  • It is a medium-sized building with a rectangular plan and a single dome.
  • It has a three-bay narthex with open sides.
  • The mosque attracts attention with its high main walls and a small, flat dome.
  • The entrance door of the harim is wide and has a pointed arch.
  • The mihrab is made of marble and is drawn inwards with a three-sided curve.
  • The minbar and the preacher’s pulpit are made of wood; the decorations of the minbarare painted light green.
  • The muezzin’s gallery is located in the northwest and is surrounded by wooden railings.
  • The women gallery has two floors and is built on wooden poles.
  • Although the mosque does not fully comply with classical Ottoman architecture, it isconsidered an example of Neo-Classical Ottoman architecture.
  • The minaret is entered from the inside.
  • The interior decoration of the mosque includes calligraphy works by calligraphers İsmailHakkı Altunbezer and Hasan Rıza.
  • The interior decorations of the mosque include calligraphy written with gold leaf andgeometric patterns.
