Changes after its construction
After the Bektashi lodge, thought to have been founded in 1770, was destroyed, the Cevri Kalfa Mosque was built.
It underwent a major restoration in 1884 and gained its current appearance.
Prominent features
Another name known among the public for the Cevri Kalfa Mosque, which has a single minaret and a single balcony, is “Nuhkuyusu Mosque”.
In the area where the mosque is located, there was a Bektashi lodge in the 1770s.
It is thought that this mosque was built on the site of the lodge that was demolished after the Janissary Corps was abolished in 1826.
Even though their written stones are gone, two twelve-lobed Bektashi caps still look like the first day.
Its cut stone-covered exterior is architecturally striking.
Its minbar is made of wood, and its dome and walls are decorated with hand-drawn patterns.
Its blind dome is placed on four arches.
There are high and large windows on three facades.
The minaret on the right is made of cut stone, and its shaped cone and finial are made of stone.
There is no inscription anywhere in the mosque.
It has a small treasury.
The oldest dated stone in the graveyard is dated 1785 and belongs to Sheikh Ismail Efendi.
There is a small graveyard in front of the – mihrab and two twelve-lobed Bektashi caps.
