- Changes after its construction
Its minaret was originally built independently of the mosque and was later surrounded by outbuildings.
The architectural character of the minaret was renewed in the 19th century, while the mosque underwent a poor restoration in the late 20th century.
It was restored by the Kağıthane Municipality in 2012, during which time it was painted green and lost its originality.
The fountain facing the street was destroyed, but its inscription was preserved.

In the burial area at the western end, the grave of Daye Hatun, who had the mosque built, and the graves of the mosque’s former imams and their families are located.
