  • It was repaired by Sultan Abdul Hamid II in 1898.
- Prominent features of the mosque
  • It is a square-plan building. The walls are built with roughly cut stone and brick mortar, and its single dome, which sits on a 12-sided drum, is supported by Baroque tasseled squinches.
  • Its mihrab, minbar, pulpit and walls are covered with tiles. There are one pointed arched window on each side of the mihrab and two on the right and left walls. There are also windows on the multi-sided dome drum.
  • The entrance to the women’s gallery is from the narthex.
  • The cut stone, single-balcony minaret is made of stalactite (muqarnas).
