Changes After Construction
It burned down together with the tomb in the Sultantepe fire in 1890 and was rebuilt by Sultan Abdulhamid II in 1900.
It was repaired by Hatice Hanım in 1957.
It underwent restoration again in 1982, 2010 and 2015.
Featured Highlights
From the outside it resembles a house.
It gets light from five windows and is the size of a small room.
It has no minbar.
On the right side of the entrance door there is a fountain with a tap, and on the left side there is a repair inscription dated 1957.
When you enter, there are ablution taps on the right, the minaret and tomb doorsopposite, and the prayer area on the left.
The mosque and the tomb are under the same wooden roof.
The minaret on the right is made of brick, and its cone and balcony are made of cut stone.
It does not have a graveyard, but the stone tomb of Hacı Hesna Hatun is located on the qibla side.
