- Changes After Its Construction
  • It was built by Osman Agha after the Kadı Mehmet Efendi Mosque was ruined in 1612.
  • It underwent a major renovation in 1811 during the reign of Mahmud II.
  • The mosque burned down in the great fire in Kadıköy in 1878 and was rebuilt the same year.
  • In 1880, a plane tree was planted in the mosque garden by Imam Mehmed Asım Efendi.
  • Over time, various renovations have been made and it has reached the present day.

  • It attracts attention with its domeless structure and walls built with three rows of bricks and one row of cut stone.
  • It has a small, thick-bodied minaret with a single balcony.
  • There is a two-storey women’s gallery, which was added to the building later and is independent of the interior.
  • The inscription on the entrance door has been erased over time.
