In recent years, a women’s gallery has been added.
It has lost much of its original texture, and the facades have been plastered inside and out with recent restorations.
- Prominent Features
Also known as Karamanlı Mosque and Kara Imam Mosque
It was built on a 252 m² land. It is covered with masonry walls.
Its single-balcony minaret is made of brick and was built with a cylindrical body on a square base.
The mihrab protrudes from the exterior and is decorated with plant ornaments.
There are stylized vegetal and geometric ornaments on the side panels and railings of the wooden minbar, and they are painted with gilding.
There is a two-storey wooden women’s gallery added later, on the northern side of the Harim.
The north, south and east sides of the square-planned mosque are surrounded by courtyards.
The grave of Sahaf Muhittin is in the graveyard of the mosque.
There is a fountain, a burial area and a water well in the mosque courtyard.
