Sahray-ı Cedit Mosque
Changes After Its Construction:
- According to the inscription on the mosque wall, it was moved from the Cankurtarandistrict because it was on the route of the Sirkeci-Edirnekapı railway.
- The mosque, which has an octagonal plan, is covered with a dome with a diameter of 6meters.
- Later, additional structures were added to the mosque.
Prominent Features:
- There is a wooden minbar and preacher’s pulpit.
- It has a single minaret and a single balcony.
- There is a fountain in the courtyard.
- It has traditional Ottoman mosque architecture and has largely preserved its originaltexture.
- There is a historical fountain outside the mosque.
