- Changes after its construction
It was repaired in 1858 and 1900.
The mihrab inscription is dated 1403, and the marble inscription is dated 1880.
- Prominent features
It is also known as the “Cibali Mosque”.
It is a rectangular-plan, brick building with a wooden roof and tiled roof.
It was built as “fevkani” (elevated, multi-storey).
There is a cistern underneath, dating back to the Byzantine period.
The upper part of the narthex is used as the women gallery.
The minbar is made of marble, the preacher’s pulpit is made of wood, and the inner wall
skirtings and the mihrab are covered with marble.
It has a single-balcony minaret.
The grave of its founder is next to the grave of the Former Admiral Abdulfettah Pasha on
the road to Meyyit Pier.
