- Changes the building has undergone its construction
  • In 1809, the first building was demolished and rebuilt.
  • Between 1950 and 1955, the main building, which was masonry, was converted into a concrete structure while the wooden narthex was preserved.
  • In 2006, the mosque underwent an extensive restoration. During this repair, the wooden narthex was rebuilt in an aesthetically perfect way, harmonizing with the architecture and surroundings of the mosque.
- Prominent features of the mosque
  • The mosque was ordered tob e built by Bostancıbaşı Mustafa Ağa. Being mentioned by Evliya Çelebi, the mosque must have been built before the 17th century.
  • The mosque has a square plan. Its wooden narthex and the main area, which is in masonry structure, are located under the same roof.
  • In the interior, the lectern, pulpit, ceiling and women’s quarters are made of wood, and it stands out with its fine woodwork.
  • Its mihrab is covered with Kütahya tiles and offers an elegant aesthetic.
  • The mosque has a single minaret and a single balcony, and a fountain in its garden.
  • The restoration in 2006 has managed to preserve the historical texture of the mosque while modernizing its external appearance. The roof of the fountain and the Timing Room (Muvakkithane) has also been renewed.
