It was built and endowed by Bayezid II for Sheikh Muhyiddin Mehmed Efendi.
Sheikh Muhyiddin Mehmed Efendi is the father of Sheikh al-Islam Ebussuud Efendi.
Its minbar was added by Sheikh Abdülmecid Efendi from Sivas, who came to Istanbul during the reign of Mehmed III.
The lodge and the mosque were demolished, and no original structure has survived to the present day.
In 2012, revival works were initiated within the scope of the protocol made by the Istanbul Environment, Culture and Historical Artifacts Protection Association with the Directorate General of Foundations. Approval was received in 2015 and started in 2017, and it was opened for worship in 2022.
