- Changes after its construction
  • In the 2000s, the mosque was enlarged and rebuilt.
  • During the expansion, the original minaret of the mosque remained inside the structure.
  • On the left wall of the minaret, there is an inscription dated Rajab 1269 (Gregorian 1853-54), thought to belong to Bas Kadın Efendi, one of the concubines/wives of Sultan Mahmud. It is thought that this inscription belonged to the fountain located in the direction of the qibla in the past.
  • The mosque was later expanded by adding reinforced concrete additions.
- Prominent Features
  • The building is made of masonry and has a square plan.
  • It has a single minaret and a single balcony, and its original form has been preserved.
  • It is also known as Yalıköy Mosque.
  • The walls of the mosque and the mihrab are decorated with tiles.
  • There is another mosque with the same name in the center of Beykoz, built by the same person.
