Changes After Construction
It was devastated and turned into ruins in the Great Istanbul Fire.
It was revived in 1955 with the contributions of philanthropist Mustafa Şişmanoğlu.
It took its current form with the repairs carried out in 1981 and a single-row rear gallery was added to its interior.

Just below the mosque, there is a classical period fountain known as the “Kadi Fountain”.
It was built with a single dome.
There is a two-part narthex, which was later closed with glass and used as a women's gallery.
It is a structure built in a magnificent style and is raised from the ground.
Its dome and arch corners are decorated with embroidery.
The minbar and the preacher’s pulpit are made of wood.
The mihrab is covered with plaster and marble.
