  • The mosque, which fell into disrepair over time, was rebuilt by local tradesmen in 1950 and a brick-lined narthex with two spaces and two domes was added.
  • It was damaged in the 1999 earthquake and was later repaired.
- Prominent features
  • The mosque is entered from the door on the right.
  • It has a single dome and sits on an 8-meter diamond-shaped belt.
  • Since it is located on a valuable plot of land, the buildings on its left side have been joined together up to the mosque, so no windows can be opened here.
  • It is illuminated by 5 lower, 4 upper and 4 drum windows.
  • Today, the mosque is in a pit due to the rise in road levels.
  • The walls are built with stones and bricks.
  • The stone primary school belonging to the mosque still exists today.
  • In the courtyard of the mosque is the tomb of its founder, Yavaşça Şahin Mehmed Ali Pasha.
