Feneryolu Recai Yahya Mosque
Changes After Its Construction:
- It was completed in 1945 and opened for worship in 1946.
- It was expanded in 1977.
- It was restored in 2015.
Prominent Features:
- It is a building with a single minaret and a single balcony.
- There is a fountain in the garden.
- It has a square plan and a hipped roof.
- The walls are made of masonry, the roof is wooden and tiled.
- The mihrab is made of plaster, the minbar and the pulpit are made of wood.
- The windows are arched and decorated with stained glass.
- There is a women gallery on the upper floor.
- The muezzin gallery is made of wood.
- The entrance to the mosque is provided from the narthex.
- Its interior decoration includes panels and ornaments written in calligraphy.
- It is located opposite Marmaray Feneryolu Station.
