Changes After Construction:
  • The exact foundation date of the Sufi Lodge is not known; the building complex was damaged and rebuilt in different periods from the time of its establishment onward.
  • From 1925 onward, the building was partly used as a dwelling; over time, it remained neglected and fell into ruin.
  • Archaeological research was carried out on the land where the Sufi Lodge stood in 2022; the Sufi Lodge and tomb were reconstructed in accordance with their original form in 2024.
  • The Sufi Lodge has been open to visitors since November 2024.
  • The grave of Sheikh Yakub Efendi was first placed in the tomb in the tawhidkhana section of the Sufi Lodge; because of the heavy number of visitors, it was moved to the graveyard of Şehzade Mosque, and shortly afterwards it was transferred to another place.
