The building complex was arranged as a complex with the addition of tekke units after the main structure of monastery-church origin was converted into a mosque in 1486.
After the death of Sünbül Sinan, the sheikhdom of the tekke passed to Merkez Efendi.
It underwent a comprehensive restoration process between 2015 and 2019.
By the decision of the Council of Foundations dated 5 June 2017, the tekke and its complementary parts were allocated to a foundation to be used for services in line with their purpose.
The building was used as the headquarters of the İnsan ve İrfan Foundation, to which it had been allocated, between 2017 and 2024.
