Changes After Construction:
  • It was repaired in 1835.
  • Because of the coastal road built in 1955, the building was cut off from the sea and remained inland.
  • It was rebuilt in stone in 1962; its architect was Yetvart Şahbaz, and the building was consecrated and opened for worship in 1964.
  • The most recent restoration was carried out in 2006, and the church was reopened for worship by Patriarch Mesrob II.
