In 2010, the Istanbul Special Provincial Administration initiated the restoration work.
The restoration was carried out in accordance with the project approved by the Conservation Board; the masonry walls and the remains of the vaults were preserved, and the timber flooring and roof were renewed in a manner consistent with their original details.
Within the scope of the restoration, deep cracks were repaired, and Khorasan plaster was applied to the interior walls.
A steel staircase and an elevator were added to provide the basement–ground floor connection.
