Changes After Construction
The structure, of which only four walls remained in 1976, was repaired.
The wooden porch on the west side was enclosed and converted into a reinforced concrete entrance space.
It underwent a comprehensive restoration in the recent period; however, as it was not allocated for use, it deteriorated again and its wooden porch collapsed.
It was repaired once more in the following years.

The building is also known as the "Kalenderhane Sıbyan Mektebi."
It is a primary school made of cut stone with a large burial ground, located at the foot of the Valens Aqueduct.
The structure serves as an annex of the Kalenderhane Mosque.
It has a square plan and is covered with a dome.
Its burial ground is enclosed by a regular wall and contains numerous graves.
