Over time, it fell into ruin but was renovated to its original state in 1980.

The mosque has a square plan and stone walls, a wooden roof, and a projecting mihrab.
The minaret is made of thin bricks, and its cone is made of cut stone.
The tomb of the mosque's founder, Aşçıbaşı Ahmet Agha, is buried on the minaret side and is surrounded by a low wall. There is no inscription on the stone.
In the courtyard on the left side of the mosque, there is a well and a small ablution basin.
Behind the mosque ahead is the Aktürbe and to its left is the tomb of the famous miniature artist Levni.
