On the south façade, the western window opening at gallery level was closed.

Its plan is a three-aisled basilica; the aisles are separated by two rows of six columns each.
The apse is semicircular and projects beyond the rectangular plan.
The church stands within a courtyard; the bell tower is located to the northwest of the courtyard.
The gallery floor is reached by the staircase located at the western end of the south side.
The building preserves the name of the Ayios Fokas Monastery, which is stated to have existed in Ortaköy during the Byzantine period.
