- Changes after its construction:
The mosque, which had been burnt and ruined in recent years, was rebuilt in 1976 with reinforced concrete and a wooden roof, with the material and moral support of the community.
At the same time, the mosque’s mirror stone and fountain, made of cut stone and in classical style, were also repaired at that time.
- Prominent Features:
The concrete minaret has a single balcony on the right and its entrance is from the inside.
The entrance to the women’s gallery is from the narthex.
The mihrab, minbar, preacher’s pulpit and wall skirtings are covered with Kütahya tiles up to the top level of the windows.
It’s benefactor has fountains and public fountains in Tophane and Fındıklı.
Its founder, Silahtar Bıyıklı Mustafa Pasha, died while on a campaign and was buried on the island of Crete.
