Changes After Construction
The building was consecrated by Bishop Bonetti on 1 May 1890.
In 1892, two side wings were added; the left wing was arranged as a chapel dedicated to Saint Augustine.
Between 1890 and 1914, the building was used successively as a novitiate house, a scholasticate house, and a student house.
The building was used as a hospital between 1914 and 1919.
Between 1895 and 1914, the building functioned as a seminary; this small-scale seminary use continued until the Second World War.
The chapel was extensively renovated in 2012–2013.
In 1982, the building was leased as part of a sports facility.

The church belongs to the Latin Catholic Church.
The building is also known as Saint Augustine Church and Saint Augustin Chapel.
After 1920, the chapel became an annex of the Kadıköy community; the priests of Kadıköy continued to serve regularly in the chapel.
The historic name “Phanaraki” of Fenerbahçe appears in the early history of the building.
