Changes After Construction

  1. It was repaired in the second half of the 20th century, between 1955-1960 and 1973.

  2. In 1987, the upper gallery was repaired by raising it by one meter.

Featured Highlights

  • It has a square plan and masonry walls.

  • Its mihrab is made of tiles, and its ceiling, minbar and preacher’s pulpit are made of wood.

  • The inner wall skirts are covered with tiles. There is a muezzin and women's gallery.

  • The narthex is placed under the main roof and has two minbars.

  • The minaret is made of stone and brick and is entered from inside the mosque.

  • Sheikh Suleyman Hammami Naqshbandi is buried in the cemetery next to the mosque.

  • Opposite the mosque is the Beşikçizade Lodge.

  • There is a fountain with no inscription nearby which has historical value.
