Changes After Construction

  1. The building was constructed in 1902 as Arnavutköy Greek School next to Aya Strati Taxiarchoi Greek Orthodox Church.

  2. In reports prepared at the end of the First World War, it was recorded as a two-storey stone building with 12 rooms and a large garden.

  3. It underwent a major renovation in 1947, and the wooden ground floor was rebuilt in masonry.

Featured Highlights

  • Arnavutköy Greek School, which educated only male students until 1925, was closed in 2010 upon the application of the Greek community itself.

  • Today, it serves as the Boğaziçi University Alumni Association Curious Children’s School.
