Changes After Construction:
  • The historic building was constructed in 1908 as Rüştiye-Ula.
  • In the following years, the building, which was used as Çatalca Idadi and Primary School, was occupied by the British in 1918.
  • After the War of Independence, it again served for educational purposes at various levels until 2018.
  • After a comprehensive restoration carried out in 2018, it has continued to serve as Çatalca Public Education Centre.
Prominent Features:
  • Cevat Pasha, the mutasarrıf who had the building constructed, is known as General Cevat Çobanlı, recipient of the Independence Medal.
