Changes After Construction:
  • The Çavuşpaşa Farm, in which the building is located, was successively allocated by Sultan Abdülaziz to Hüseyin Pasha, Abdullah Pasha, Governor of Maraş, and Mehmed Ali Pasha, the son-in-law of Sultan Mahmud II.
  • Upon the death of Damat Mehmed Ali Pasha, the Çavuşpaşa Farm and the buildings within it, which passed to his heirs, were registered by Sultan Abdülaziz in his own name in the Defter-i Hakani records.
  • In 1867, the farm and the pavilion were bestowed by Sultan Abdülaziz upon his 10-year-old son, Crown Prince Şehzade Yusuf İzzettin Efendi, and during this period they were used as a hunting pavilion.
  • The building, which Yusuf İzzettin Efendi used as his private pavilion, was transferred to the treasury of finance during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II.
  • In 1946, educational activities began there as Çavuşpaşa Primary School.
  • In 1994, it was restored by Hacı Ahmet Akça.
