- The school building was named “Çengelköy Havuzbaşı Primary and Middle School” in 1901.
- The school was named “28th School” in the following years.
- The official boys’ middle school in Beylerbeyi moved to the school building; consequently, the structure was used under the name “Beylerbeyi Boys’ Model School.”
- The school had the status of a five-grade co-educational school in 1923.
- The campus gained a dining hall in 1914 and two more classrooms in 1935.
- The school underwent various repairs in 1957, 1958, 1971, and 1975.
