Changes After Construction
In 1962, the mosque, which became insufficient with the development of Ümraniye, was expanded to the right side.
A plaster mihrab with stalactite was added to the area enlarged to the level of the school; thus, the mosque became a two-mihrab mosque.
The preaching's pulpit was placed inside the first mihrab, and the wooden minbar was moved to the newly expanded area.
The old main gate was closed with stones and a new gate was opened on the left side.
Featured Highlights
The mosque was built on a small scale and has a barrel vault dome on the inside and a wooden roof on the outside.
The blind dome is placed on four arches and flat corner squinches.
The exterior is covered with granite stone.
The mosque is illuminated by four windows and its mihrab is placed in the wall in the form of a niche.
This mosque, with a single minaret and a single balcony, is also known as Caferağa Mosque and Ümraniye Mosque.
